    WORLD   ENVIRONMENT   DAY


World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated each year on June 5.It is one of the Principal vehicles through which UNITED NATION encouraging worldwide awareness to protect our environment.

The first World Environment Day (WED ) was held in year1974 with the theme.... 'ÓNLY ONE EARTH'  promoted different ways to improve the environment and protect the Earth Environment. 
It has been a flagship campaign for raising awareness and actions to conserve environment with participation of annully143 countries.It has grown and over the years and become the largest platform for environmental public outreach.And helped the world to come out from the environmental issues like Human overpopulation,global warming,Marine pollution ,and sustainable development and many more.

WED has new theme every year that NGOs,major cooperations , communities ,governments and worldwide adaptation programmes to advocate environmental causes.

IMPORTANT FACTS:

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY 2020 IS GOING TO CELEBRATE WITH THE NEW THEME
            "BIODIVERSITY"

Biodiversity describes the variety of life on Earth.Making the announcement on the UN Climate Change Conference in Madrid Spain, Licardo Lozano, Colombias Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development, Jochen Flasbarth, Germany's State Secretary for Environment, and Inger Andersen, Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme, stressed that with one million plants and animals species facing extinction ,so most important is to focus on the issue of BIODIVERSITY.

in present scenario COVID-19 has understood that to support the lives of the human, must be save biodiversity.By making balance in  nature,we can create some conditions to outcome from the ideal conditions like CORONAVIRUSES,which is spreading day by day. Now it is essential to save the llives, we have to save our nature first .

  UNEP (UNITED NATIONS ENVIRONMENT PROGRAMME) provide leadership and encourage people and partnership  to save  environment and improve the quality of fauna and flora for future generations.
