On 15th August 1947,India gained independence after a long struggle.Our First Prime minister of Independent country was Jawaharlal Nehru,who gave a impressive speech starting with the words,"At the stroke of the midnight hour,whenthe world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom."

INDIA INDEPENDENCE DAY 2020

India is celebrating its 74th Independence Day on 15th August,2020.This year the celebration of  Independence Day will be totally devoted to fighters as well as the warriors from Corona, including physicians, Doctors, policemen, nurses and other healthcare employees. According to the Home Ministry’s advisory, COVID-19 warriors should be welcomed and their commitment and research should be appreciated in the fight against the virus. 

Independence Day is celebrated in the capital of India Delhi at Red Fort with full of enthusiasm by Hosting Flag which is done by the Prime Minister of India. Independence Day is also celebrated by various students and teachers in schools, colleges, and other educational institutions to pay tribute to our country.

This year due to COVID-19, the speech of our Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be giving a virtual speech on this Independence Day 2020.

International Yoga Day 2020 theme






INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY THEME

The World International Day 21st June, 2020 is going to be celebrated very soon. The Indian Prime Minister Narender Modi has decided to make it as special as always at "Leh" at high altitude place  with limited people. Many people from all over the world want to learn more about yoga and want to practice at their homes to become themselves fit and fine.

                                                              The  Ayush Ministry has announced the Blog Video Competition titled "MY LIFE, MY YOGA" at global level for all and asked people to participate by making three minute video and upload it .Participants have to perform yogas which they usually do at their routine life in videos.

The International  Yoga  Day is celebrated around the world on every  21st  June  since 2015 to spread  awareness about the  importance  and  valuable effects of  yoga  on the health of  the people.
It is also known as "WORLD YOGA DAY".

Why 21st June  is chosen as International  Yoga  Day? 

The Prime Minister of India ,Narendra Modi, first proposed the idea of International Day of Yoga on 27th September, 2014 during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly. And suggested the date 21 June to celebrate as International Yoga Day as it is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere when the sun rays directly fall on north pole to south. And the proposal to celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st June was approved by 193 members on 11 December 2014 in United States.

The first International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 JUNE, 2015.All the arrangements were made by  THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH in India, around 40,000 people included Mr.Narendra Modi and Dignitaries from 84 other nations, performed 21 yoga postures at Raj path in New  Delhi.

Objectives of International Yoga Day:

* Aware people about the importance of yoga for their good health

*Try to connect people with nature.

*Reduce the level of mental stress

*Develop the habit of Meditation,

* Improve Flexibility and Strength.

*Become more mindful

Every person who born to India feels proud to be an INDIAN.
India is a land of festivals,where different people live together and
follow different religions.
                 The variety of festivals begins from January to December
brings lot of happiness with them and shows its rich culture and traditions.
The bond of togetherness shows in every festival while celebrating in India.

India is a country where every religion and community celebrates their culture
with full of joy and freedom.Every festival is unique in its way.Some of Indian Festivals included:
Holi,Diwali,Ganesh  Chaturthi,Durga puja,Raksha bandhan ,Id and Christmas etc. are celebrate in different way .
These are the festivals are celebrating in different Nakshatras by giving different meanings.

There are some other festivals include Republic Day , Independence Day ,Gandhi Jayanti
and may more which are celebrated by all the people without following any caste and without following their religions.
